Row Properties
The presentation of questions can be tailored via the Rows Tab in the Properties Pane. Properties are grouped into sections:
- General - mandatory properties (e.g. sub question code, sub question text, sort order), along with frequently used properties (e.g. filters)
- Advanced - less frequently used properties (e.g. exclude answer id)
To access the properties, make sure the Properties Pane is enabled using the toggle buttons.
Available Properties
The available properties differ according to the question type.

| 01 Sub Question Code | General | The value, or code number for the individual grid row, or sub question |
| 02 Sub Question Text | General | The value label for the individual grid row, or sub question |
| 03 Sort Order | General | Controls the order in which answer codes are displayed to survey respondents |
| 04 Code Filter | General | Enter the qualification criteria for any individual code that needs to be displayed only under certain circumstances |
| 05 Excluded Answer Ids | Advanced | Allows a particular Column item to be excluded as an answer for that row item. For example, the column items might contain Yes, No, N/A. The row items might be 1. Dog, 2. Cat, 3. Rabbit. By default, the three column items appear for all three row items. However, any of the column items can be disabled for a row item by entering the answer ID into the corresponding row item. |
